The universe of Dhurandhar may be far from over. After the massive success of both Dhurandhar and its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge, co-producer Jyoti Deshpande has hinted that fans can expect another major surprise from
the franchise later this year. In a recent interview, she teased, “We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet. We’ll
hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There’s something up our sleeves,” sparking speculation about a possible third instalment. The franchise, directed
by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, has emerged as one of the biggest cinematic successes
in recent years. The original film, released in December 2025, followed undercover intelligence agent Hamza Ali Mazari as he infiltrated Karachi’s criminal underworld to
dismantle an ISI-backed terror network. Inspired by
events such as the IC-814 hijacking, the Parliament attack
and the Mumbai attacks, the film earned over Rs 1,350 crore worldwide. Meanwhile, actor Yami Gautam spoke about how the film’s success has not changed her or
Aditya Dhar personally. She credited spirituality and humility for keeping them grounded through both success
and difficult phases.
