Abbotsford’s municipal race gained significant momentum Sunday as approximately 350 supporters filled Gians Banquet Hall for Amrik Narang’s official campaign launch.

The energy in the room was palpable as Amrik took the stage before a packed crowd, where Michael de Jong and MP Brad Vis formally endorsed his candidacy for Abbotsford City Council.

Amrik is a prominent Abbotsford lawyer and business law instructor at UFV who highlighted his deep connection to the community. Raised in a farming family and now raising his own family locally, he emphasized the importance of hard work, and practical, solutions-focused leadership shaped by his experience in law, business, and community service.

He outlined key priorities including public safety and boosting the local economy by supporting local farmers and all big or small business owners. Amrik has positioned himself as a candidate focused on delivering results.

Amrik also declared that should he be elected, he will be opening up an office (at his own expense) every Monday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to listen to the needs of Abbotsford residents so he can try to be their voice at City Hall.
