Abbotsford Board of Education Trustees Recognized at Provincial AGM

Abbotsford, BC – Trustees from the Abbotsford Board of Education were recognized for their years of service and contributions to public education at the recent British Columbia School Trustees Association (BCSTA) Annual General Meeting.

Vice Chair Shirley Wilson received a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her longstanding commitment and leadership in advancing student success across the district.

Trustee Preet Rai was honoured for 16 years of dedicated service, while Board Chair Stan Petersen was recognized for 12 years of service. These milestones reflect their ongoing contributions to students, staff, and the broader Abbotsford community.

The BCSTA Annual General Meeting brings together trustees and education leaders from across the province to collaborate on key issues impacting public education.
