Long-time Abbotsford resident and respected real estate professional Jag Sidhu has officially announced his campaign for a seat on Abbotsford City Council, bringing with him nearly two decades of local industry experience and a deep commitment to community service.

Having lived in Abbotsford for over 37 years and graduating from Abbotsford Senior Secondary in 1994, Sidhu has built both his life and career in the city. As a top-performing realtor and Medallion Club member ranked in the top 10% of his field, he has developed a firsthand understanding of the challenges residents face—particularly when it comes to housing affordability and availability.

Sidhu says his decision to run comes at a critical time, as Abbotsford continues to grow rapidly while infrastructure and housing supply struggle to keep pace. His campaign is centered on practical priorities: improving housing affordability, addressing traffic congestion in Abbotsford—and strengthening community safety while supporting local businesses.

Beyond his professional work, Sidhu has been actively involved in the community through volunteering with organizations such as the Canada Blood Bank and Archway Food Bank, organizing annual blanket drives, supporting flood relief efforts, and contributing to local sports clubs and fundraising initiatives. His commitment to service also extends internationally, supporting students in their education abroad.

Sidhu emphasizes that his approach is rooted in action and accessibility. He is committed to being present in the community year-round, listening to residents, and delivering results—not politics.
